In my article about Lady Justice's blindfold, I neglected to mention yet another glaring example of hyper-partisanship
obscuring otherwise rational people from, well, being rational.
Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh was
accused of sexual misconduct back when he was much younger. Was the accuser's testimony of the alleged event
true and factual? Well, that depends on whether
you are a Democrat or a Republican. The judgement
thereof went right down party lines.
How did we devolve into a nation whereby
a person's guilt or innocence is determined by the political affiliation of the
accuser and the defendant?
